Diwali '08
Photographing During Diwali-night is sure fun, but technically a sound precision is required in order to get those perfect-shots !
Prime hurdles that one may face photographing this night are:
1) As its night time, we need to work high on sensitivity, give your shots, a correct exposure value.
2) Problems may also arise due insufficient light conditions.
3) Photographing without Tripods can be a tedious job, as there can/will be 99% chances of camera shake, which will ruin the shot completely.
4) There can also be a temporary dust-particle hindrance, specially while using higher ISO's.
But if proper care is taken in regards to all above matters, surely better and nice images can be insured !
Here are some pictures above, i took this diwali, taking account of all these thoughts..

Boom in digital image sensing technologies:- The Micro-Four Third's Technology.

A usual hectic procedure,as 'twas considered: Mounting those 'big-sized' lenses on our dSLR's.
and above all this: carrying a set of such big lenses along the travel.
A solution to this just seems to have come into limelight.
The latest leap into digital imaging, the Micro Four Third's Technology. This gives a more compact answer to usual hefty lenses, which persist today and that too just for high-range SLR's.
This technology is basically a micro version for the four-third technology, which simply states that we use compact size lenses, and continue to have the same image quality by the use of 4/3 type sensors.
The Micro Four Thirds System enables users to enjoy the same high image quality of the Four Thirds System's 4/3-type image sensor in a much more compact body, and also take advantage of significantly more compact lenses, particularly in the wide-angle and high-power zoom range.
So,broadly speaking,it's like the fun of using all the high quality lens-assemblies,in much more compact way, along with compact sized camera's(i mean, not necessarily SLR's).
Now speaking about four third's systems,it offers the benefits of compact, lightweight performance, and the new Micro Four Thirds System takes this still further to enable development of ultra-compact interchangeable lens type digital camera systems unlike anything seen before.
The new Micro Four Thirds System also incorporates a greater number of lens-mount electrical contacts for the support of new features and expanded system functionality in the future. So,we have a close electrical(wired) contact of the lens-assemblies,with the digital image sensor, which will be revolutionary in it's own sense.and the best part above all: Flexibility to use wide range of complex lens-assemblies,with your casual digital camera !

What exactly exposure means..
When we talk about exposure,we refer to how long the shutter of the camera is let open. The speed with which shutter behaves(i.e opens or closes),determines for how long the digital sensor in a camera is exposed.
This is generally determined by the shutter speed in the camera(which can be accessed in camera's with manual settings)
shutter speeds vary broadly b/w :- 1/4000 of a second to 30 seconds.
1/4000 means that the shutter speed is very fast and camera's digital sensor is exposed for only 1/4000 seconds.
30 indicates very slow shutter speed,in which the digital sensor is exposed to light for 30 seconds.
We normally give 30 sec.exposures,in case light conditions are dim and we require more detailing.(as in case the pictures down the line)
For shooting fast moving objects,we prefer to go for smaller exposures(1/2000 , 1/4000 , etc..)
